"We didn't have a lot of time but wanted to explore divers landscapes and experiences. Erica at Safari Specialists recommended to combine Khwai with the Victoria Falls and Hwange. We fell in love with Somalisa where elephants drink from the pool, we would have never expected such close encounters with these big grey gentle giants.”

"Even before arriving at Simbavati, we saw giraffe and steenbok just next to the road and wildebeest crossing it plus a herd of approximately 40 impala nearby. Very beautiful setting, lovely scenery, attentive staff and personal experience. We were welcomed by a warthog grazing on the lush green lawns. This is a beautiful area and I enjoyed our guide, Krueger, very much as he did not only focus on finding game but made it a very enjoyable, productive game drive with information about plants, animal behaviour etc. We also went to the hyena den, saw a small breeding herd of buffalos and lots of elephants."

why we love it Why We Love It

This safari is for those who want it all – big game, big landscapes and a few moments that will genuinely take your breath away.

You start in Hwange National Park, one of Africa’s most diverse National parks. Think busy waterholes, wide open plains and wildlife in abundance. From there, you ease into Victoria Falls, where the itinerary shifts from wildlife to one of the natural wonders of the world. Crossing into Botswana, Chobe delivers exactly what it’s famous for- elephants in their hundreds and riverfront game viewing.

Moving away from the busier areas into the Khwai Private Reserve. Here you have the freedom of a private concession – night drives, off-roading and a real taste of what the Okavango delta has to offer. Then just when you think it can’t get more memorable, you spend a night ‘Sleeping under the stars’, five metres off the ground, with wildlife moving through camp below you – it’s one of those stories you’ll tell forever.

Ending your safari along the Boteti River, this is a completely different Botswana again where the Okavango fades into desert. Certainly, a lessor known and unexplored area but during the zebra migrations (seasonal)- It’s raw, authentic and the perfect contrast to the Delta.

It’s adventurous without being over the top, comfortable without losing its edge – and that’s exactly why we love it.
