Safari Specialists

If you're a safari specialist, the safari itself is more important than where you lay your head after a day in the bush. You'll often prefer more time in each place to let it get under your skin, to develop your interests with your guide and to discover the stories behind the animals they live with.

Our Safari Specialist selection is about enjoying a slower pace and a good level of exclusivity where you can chase the sighting of a lifetime or let the quiet of the bush soak in. For those who carry more than one lens in their camera bag and have a passion for photography, we recommend adding private activities to give you the time you need for the perfect shot, whether it's a curious leopard cub or a graceful wattled crane.

We recommend tweaking these itineraries to suit your personal needs, whether your mission is to track wild dog across the Linyanti, embrace the sights and sounds of the bush on a private mobile safari or something else entirely.

Get in touch and we'll create your perfect safari experience.

"The highlight of the trip was the Letaka Mobile Safari. Our whole team was outstanding. Our guide was a star animal tracker, very knowledgeable about all of the animals and birds, and was personable and fun to be with day and night for 10 days. We enjoyed the elephants walking between our tents and shaking the trees for their food… We even saw a pangolin, which Norma was longing to see."

"A surprise on the safari was the food. I continue to be truly amazed at what our cook was able to prepare using a 'bush oven' for meals, daily tea times and sundowners. The man is a magician! He also accommodated beautifully a vegetarian in our group."

"I could write for hours about our animal viewings... It was truly the trip of a lifetime."

"Lagoon Camp was very good as usual. First time for me doing the boat ride / sundowner cruise which was a very nice experience and a change from the bumpy game drives! Nothing beats cruising slowly along the river with a gin and tonic in your hands. We saw 4 leopards in one day, more than I saw during all my previous safaris put together. A further highlight for me was Splash, the lodge is very nice! We managed to see wild dogs 4 times and the lion sightings were fantastic as well. We saw the 2 cheetah several times as well. "

"Kavinga camp was very nice, the main attraction is the waterhole directly in front of the tents with lots of animals coming to drink, and the hide.  We did only two drives as it was more interesting to stay in camp and watch the activities at the waterhole."

"Wilderness Savuti had the largest herds on our safari, the most elephants, most hippos, most of almost everything. That was my favourite part of this camp - the sheer numbers of animals. At Chitabe Lediba the guides were great and we saw the most interesting animal encounters here, such as a leopard in a tree after a kill, hyenas feasting on a kill they had taken from lions, a cheetah chasing a steenbuck, and the like. Remarkable sightings!"

"Selinda Explorers felt like luxury! We were lucky to be the only guests in our vehicle for our entire 3 days and our guide, Joshua, was a very knowledgeable guide who made our stay both fun and informative. We were very lucky with the game viewing and saw 4 leopards and lots of lions, the highlight being a lioness with 3 cubs of only one month old. The food at the camp was exceptional and plentiful. If anything, there was too much food and we found ourselves skipping meals as we were so full! There were some lovely touches at this camp – the hot water bottles in the bed of an evening, the hot water bottles and ponchos for the morning game drives, the morning wake-up call with coffee delivered to our room."
