Okavango Delta - Setari

Setari is situated at the base of the Okavango Pan Handle where the delta begins its miraculous transformation of the Kalahari sands. This owner operated camp nestles on a palm fringed island, amongst papyrus lined channels and waterways that open to lagoons strewn with water lilies. If your idea of paradise is exploring the beauty of the delta by traditional mokoro, boat and on guided walks amidst incredible birdlife, serenaded by hippos, Setari is for you.

Chobe - Chobe Bakwena

Chobe Bakwena is an affordable yet stylish camp run by environmentally-aware, community-minded owners. The atmosphere is personal and welcoming ‘lodge’ style in an area where hotels are more the norm. The river and tree-top chalets feature colourful hints of traditional Africa with modern conveniences. Activities offered focus on game viewing by boat and game-drive vehicle along the Chobe River.

Moremi, Khwai & Private Concessions - Rra Dinare Camp

We love the fact that the owners opted to establish an affordable camp within this private concession. Positioned in the southern Delta, Rra Dinare experiences seasonal flooding by nature. This unique blend of land and water fosters a rich diversity of wildlife, ensuring consistently rewarding day and night game drives. Additionally, the camp provides the opportunity to partake in a traditional mokoro activity.

Savuti, Linyanti & Selinda - Ghoha Hills

Nestled high on a rocky outcrop, Ghoha Hills offers panoramic views across the surrounding plains and bushland - pretty unique in Botswana! What we love about Ghoha - aside from the excellent quality accommodation, service and guiding at a great value rate – is that it is not situated in central Savute. This distance creates a sense of exclusivity within the national park. Additionally, you have the opportunity to take longer game drives, including a picnic lunch, to explore the Savute area when there are less people around.

Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, National Park & Nxai Pan - Nxai Pan Camp

Good things come in small packages. Nxai Pan may be a relatively small national park with a modest game-drive route but it offers a diverse and excellent-value desert experience year-round. Wait by the waterholes for the game to come to you in the dry season, catch the amazing zebra migration during green season or just enjoy the open pans, magnificent Baines’ Baobabs and guided walks.

Central Kalahari - Tau Pan Camp

Escape the world and explore a remote corner of the Kalahari Desert from the comfortable base of Tau Pan Camp. Experience the unexpected beauty of the Kalahari in winter or travel during summer's rainy season to catch sizable herds of springbok and oryx, as well as the thunderstorms rolling in across the open expanse.

Victoria Falls - Batonka Lodge

Hwange - Khulu Bush Camp

Situated in a private concession just outside Hwange National Park, Khulu Bush Camp offers the best of both worlds where one can enjoy guided walks and game drives in the concession as well exploratory game drives into the national park. One of the best parts of the day at Khulu Bush Camp is sundowner time, relaxing on the deck, enjoying a parade of wildlife meandering down to the waterhole in front of camp. Mana Pools - Mana River Camp

Location, location, location… positioned perfectly between the vast Zambezi River and a small pan, Machaba’s Mana River Camp has frequent visitors as passing wildlife stops to drink. The camp is delightfully authentic and represents the true meaning of a ‘classic’ safari camp. Each canvas tent has a river view and is set under a canopy of gracious trees, offering such comforts as solar lighting and flush ‘loos’, yet without permanent infrastructure as the camp is seasonal. Brilliant guiding and hospitality round off the ‘Machaba’ experience.

South Luangwa National Park - Nkwali Camp

Open year round, Nkwali camp offers exceptional value, particularly for solo travellers. Robin Pope Safaris are one of the pioneers in South Luangwa and the location of the camp testifies that they ‘got in early’. Nkwali sits directly on the Luangwa River on a large area of private land and offers access to South Luangwa National park by pontoon and boat, thereby avoiding the main entry gate into the park and busier Mfuwe area. Accommodation is in six open fronted chalets, including a spacious honeymoon chalet and nearby is Robin’s House for families.

Lower Zambezi National Park - Baines River Camp

Baines’ River Camp offers a touch of colonial luxury without a hefty price tag. Situated idyllically on the banks of the Zambezi, its location outside the Lower Zambezi National Park keeps the rate reasonable, yet it is not an inconvenience - it just means that every game drive starts with a picturesque boat trip on the Zambezi! Kruger Private Reserves - Notten’s Bush Camp

Elegantly styled, this excellent-value, family-run camp offers one of the more intimate safari experiences in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Tasteful décor, the deliberate absence of electricity and wonderful service from long-standing staff combine to create a haven of peace with a touch of romance. The area is known for incredible game viewing and the Notten’s guides show a respect and dedication to wildlife conservation.
